Annual concerts 2022 of the Musikgesellschaft Union Chur

After two years without concerts in 2020 and 2021, the traditional annual concerts of the Musikgesellschaft Union will finally take place again on Friday and Saturday, 27/28 May 2022. The concert starts at the Kirchgemeindehaus Titthof in Chur at 8.00 p.m. A varied concert program with well-known and popular melodies awaits you. As usual, there is something for every taste, from folk to concert brass music to rousing light music. The second part of the concert is under the motto "Golden Swing Time Special". Let yourself be surprised not only musically but also visually. Of course, the Stadttambouren Chur are also part of the party again and enchant you with their refined drum inserts.

The MG Union under the direction of Jürg Gysin opens the concert with "Music is in the Air". The title thus immediately sets the motto of the evening. Afterwards, "The Enchanted Castle", a work by the Swiss composer Mario Bürki, will visit an enchanted castle in the middle of the Arosa mountains. The fascinating concert work "Intermezzo" by Stefan Schwarz also pays tribute to the work of Swiss composers. The first part of the concert will be rounded off as usual with a beautiful polka and a march. As already mentioned, swinging melodies are in the center after the break. With "Golden Swing Time" and "Frank Sinatra Classics", two very special highlights await them, among other great melodies.

Of course, a restaurant, a fine cake buffet and the big Union raffle will be offered again this year on both concert evenings. After the concerts, you can end the evening with a drink at the Union Bar. On Friday and Saturday, the restaurant is already open from 19.00 o'clock and you can eat before the concert.
