Calamus Trio - 39th Summer Tour

The Calamus Trio consists of Josias Just, Martin Zimmermann (clarinet, basset horn, bass clarinet) and Alena Cherny (piano).
For this year's 39th tour, the Calamus Trio has once again put together an interesting program.
The musicians begin with a trio for two clarinets and piano by Bernhard Hendrik Crusell (1775-1838). Crusell is a Finnish clarinetist and composer.
The second item on the programme will be a trio by Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827). The trio was arranged by A. F. Wustrow, a contemporary of Beethoven, for clarinet, basset horn and piano based on the wind sextet op. 71.On
the summer tour, the audience will also be able to enjoy three works by W.A. Mozart. First Josias Just plays with Alena Cherny the work KV 79 "Per quel paterno complesso", followed by Martin Zimmermann with Alena Cherny with the KV 541 "Un bacio di mano" for basset horn and piano. This trilogy by Alena Cherny is completed on the piano with two arias arranged by A.N. Tarkmann (1956) and a Fantasy in D minor for piano.
The concert will conclude with the Première Rhapsody Roumanie by George Enescu (1881-1955), arranged by Béla Kovàcs (1937-2021).
As always, this musical hour will be humorously commented on to bring the audience closer to the performed works.
