François Morellet or the lightness of geometry

Abstract art and humour – no contradiction for the French artist François Morellet (1926-2016). Systematically and playfully, he has revolutionized the so-called Concrete Art, of which he is one of the main representatives. His works are often found as surprising, poetic interventions, whether in the Louvre in Paris or on New York house facades, as well as in numerous collections worldwide. The Würth Collection also has a wide range of works from the work of this artist and is now showing them for the first time in the Forum Würth Chur. The exhibits depict the multifaceted spectrum that Morellet left behind as a painter, draughtsman and light artist.
