Mozart - Annual concert of the Bündner Kantonsschule Chur

The Coronation Mass in C major, K. 317 is a mass composed in 1779 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, although it received the famous nickname later. The dating, scoring and expansion of the work suggest that the first performance was planned for Easter. In tune with this, it forms the core of this year's kanti-chor concert in the Heiligkreuzkirche Chur. In addition to the singers, talented instrumental soloists from the Bündner Kantonsschule will enjoy professional orchestral accompaniment and create the first part of the concert with the performance of two Mozart concerts. The intensive preparation time of almost an entire school year precedes the actual goal: bringing the students together with professional musicians. Through the shared experience in the choir, with orchestra and in front of an audience, these experiences are consolidated in an unforgettable depth and leave the valuable traces on which music education is based.
