With New Generation, JazzChur deliberately promotes young musicians and students with a connection to the canton of Graubünden at the summer festival. The performances in Chur are intended to increase their visibility and give young music a face. To this day, the decision to pursue a working life in the cultural sector is a courageous one. All the more reason for the young musicians to be able to show in their home country what they are learning and doing abroad. As role models for future generations and also as confirmation for those who have encouraged, supported and accompanied them up to that point.
