Literaturhaus Graubünden

The Literaturhaus Graubünden – LIT – makes literature in Chur and throughout the canton accessible to everyone. As a trilingual literature house that is unique in Europe, it is a place of exchange, encounter and literary curiosity. The LIT conveys domestic and international contemporary literature and understands literature as a social practice: open, polyphonic and in dialogue with the present. 

The focus is on a diverse programme of events with readings, book launches, talks and performative formats that combine literature with other arts. The LIT invites you to rediscover texts, listen to voices and change perspectives – low-threshold, accessible and at the same time challenging in terms of content. With strong local partners, the Literaturhaus also realises larger projects and creates spaces for literary mediation across language, age and genre boundaries. This is how a lively network for literature grows in Graubünden – and a stage for stories that want to be told.
