Aktion Weihnachtspäckli

The "Christmas Parcel Campaign" has been organised for many years by four aid organisations working in Eastern Europe throughout Switzerland. It starts in Domat/Ems on Saturday, 07 Nov. with a stand action from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in front of the Coop and Migros. Afterwards, donations in kind or money will be accepted in the women's club premises from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. until Nov. 13. The parcels contain food, hygiene articles, knitwear, toys and school supplies and sweets. To ensure that the parcels can be loaded in a space-saving manner, cleared through customs without any problems and easily distributed, a team packs the standard parcels. 115,750 children and adults in Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Belarus, Kosovo and war-torn Ukraine received a parcel last year. For many, it was the only Christmas present.
