Auftakt 1.1 Livia Rita

With its opening, the Kunsthalle Graubünden
an independent and experimental place for
contemporary art in the Alpine region. It dedicates
site-specific issues, different
artistic expressions and the exchange of
with the audience.

Livia Rita begins the three-part opening of the Kunsthalle Graubünden. The interdisciplinary artist combines performance, sound, visual arts and fashion. For the rooms of the Kunsthalle, she is developing an expansive installation in which sculpture, scent, sound, video and performance come together to form a multisensory environment.
Part of the work is created in the Bündner Rigi studio house in the Surselva region. Mosses, resins and other organic materials from the alpine region of Graubünden flow into the sculptural and olfactory work. Landscape and local materials thus become directly part of the installation.
