COMMON LAND

Trickster-p once again pushes the boundaries between theatre, installation and perception. The company from Novazzano (Ticino), directed by Cristina Galbiati and Ilija Luginbühl, is now one of the most internationally renowned ensembles in Switzerland and finds a new artistic home in Graubünden in the Postremise.
The best way to enter this theatre installation is without expectations: there is no story, no plot. Three screens, two actors, comfortable armchairs and an enveloping sound world create an experience space for a maximum of 25 spectators that appeals to all the senses. The classic separation between stage and auditorium has been abolished – here everything becomes one.
COMMON LAND is about collective thinking and empathy. Again and again we roam through the same, changing landscape: a house, a meadow, a forest and behind it the seemingly eternal silhouette of the mountains. The path leads from the big story to the world of the smallest things. People are no longer at the center, but become part of a networked system. COMMON LAND is an odyssey to ourselves – as individuals and as a collective.
