KULTUR FÜR WEN?

With participants from the fields of culture (Manfred Ferrari), politics (Christine Egerszegi) and tourism promotion (Kaspar Howald), the panel will be dedicated to the role of cultural creation for the resilience of a community and at the same time shed light on the areas of tension between free, purpose-independent cultural practice and the requirements of cultural tourism geared towards holiday guests.
Under the chairmanship of film and theatre director Julian Grünthal, it will be discussed whether culture fulfils social tasks or should increasingly contribute to tourism value creation. The freedom of the arts, the often demanded unpaid participation of cultural workers and the question of whether professional cultural work is recognized by politics and administration as an independent labor sector at all will be discussed.
After the successful podiums LET'S TALK ABOUT IT and LET'S WRITE ABOUT IT, the Postremise and t. Graubünden are continuing their jointly launched series of talks.
