In 1979, at the age of 50, the poet Werner Lutz presented his first novel under the title I need this life. At a very young age, he had been able to publish some poems in a renowned German literary magazine, but he did not allow himself to be pushed. The demands on himself were high. His poems open up the world to us in concise words, direct our gaze, build bridges in all directions. An encounter with Werner Lutz on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of his death.
