The Postcard Village is a site-specific cultural project that makes historical postcards from Tschiertschen and Praden visible in public space, thus opening up visual access to the history and identity of the place.

Selected maps from private collections are enlarged and installed at the original locations where they were taken. In this way, changes in landscape, settlement and everyday culture can be experienced directly. The historical motifs enter into a dialogue with the present and make visible how a place changes over time and at the same time retains its character. In spring, winter motifs are exchanged for summer images.
The texts on the backs of the postcards are also included in the project. They complement the picture pages with personal perspectives and thus stimulate perception.

An accompanying publication in the form of a leporello deepens the topic of village history and development with background information.
