Sonja – ein Junkieleben

Joel Basman embodies the drug-addicted Sonja in the Klibühni – a woman who has been addicted to heroin for 36 years and tells her story. The director is Michael Steiner. After their joint cinema successes ("Mein Name ist Eugen", "Sennentuntschi", "Wolkenbruch"), this is their fourth collaboration – and their most personal project. "Sonja – a junkie's life" breaks with the taboo of exclusion. Sonja stands for the people on the margins – stigmatized, overlooked, labeled. But here it becomes visible. Tangible. Human.
