As part of their current tour, THE GREGORIAN VOICES are also giving seven extraordinary concerts in Switzerland. The stage and the celebrated ensemble shine in the glow of 1000 candles.

Since the spring of 2011, the group THE GREGORIAN VOICES has been successfully on tour in Europe. Under the artistic direction of Oleksiy Semenchuk, the extraordinary Ukrainian soloists present the musical tradition of Gregorian chant in style. Dressed in traditional monks' habits, the singers create a mystical atmosphere in a sea of candles that takes the audience on a fascinating journey through time over centuries through the world of sacred music from the Middle Ages to the here and now.

Experience a varied concert with a mixture of Gregorian chants, Orthodox church music and songs and madrigals from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. With its vocal power and many solo passages, the choir and its soloists impressively show how Gregorian chant can sound today. Authentic and yet contemporary. In the second part of the concert, classics of pop music will be heard, such as "Ameno" by ERA, "You raise me up" by Josh Groban, "My Way" by Frank Sinatra, "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen, "Sound of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkel, "Sailing" by Rod Steward as well as other new musical highlights that have been rearranged in the style of Gregorian chant for the Night of 1000 Candles.
