The route climbs uphill from Tschiertschen in a zigzag pattern. Passing the Hühnerköpfe peaks at over 2,000 meters above sea level, it descends briefly to the pits before the path gains altitude again. At the mountain hut Joch, the ascent is rewarded with a sweeping Alpine panorama.

The Arosa–Weisshorn gondola takes you directly to the highest point of the tour. At 2,653 meters above sea level, the panoramic view is impressive. On the descent to the Sattelhütte hut, the view stretches all the way to Chur. After a break, the trail continues gently to Lake Prätschsee and Prätschli.

On Chur's local mountain, two great winter hikes await you with the Edelweiss round hike and the panoramic hike from Brambrüesch to the Känzeli middle station.
Tschiertschen is easy to get to by post bus. There you can hike over the Joch to Parpan and from there back to Chur by post bus. There are also shorter routes directly from the picturesque village.
The circular hike around the Tgom' Aulta hill in the Feldis winter sports area opens up magnificent views of the Chur Rhine Valley and the Grisons mountains.
A worthwhile day trip: From Chur with the RhB to Arosa and hike on the Heidi & Gigi Trail, supported by mountain railways, over to Lenzerheide. Return to Chur by post bus.
