Ausstellung Natur & Figur in der Stadtgalerie Chur

Born in Georgia, Janna Huggenberger has lived in Chur since 1997. A few years ago, she independently ran a workshop-studio under the name "The Life of Glass" on Bankstrasse in Chur. Later she devoted herself to family life. She has been active again for several years and now creates her works as a freelance artist.

With her current project "Nature & Figure", Janna Huggenberger presents her works made of wood, roots and glass in the Stadtgalerie. She sums up her passion in the following words: "In my free time, I like to walk through the forests of Graubünden, along the river or where nature shows itself in all its glory. The majestic roots enchanted me with their casual shapes. So I grabbed tools and began to let my imagination flow into the roots to give them a second chance as an art object." In her work, the artist is passionate about experimenting with shapes, colours and functions, combining the useful with the beautiful. Each of her objects is unique. Her art is inspired by the various stages of her life – her training as a dancer and her stays in Azerbaijan, Turkey and her life in Chur.
