The final programme of the season is dedicated to Italian composers and focuses on Monteverdi's madrigals. Even the title of the programme – a simple quotation from the world of the late madrigal – refers to the fine, poetic tonal language that can be found in Monteverdi in particular: the music follows the word, reinforces its meaning and traces a delicate, melancholic atmosphere. In this programme, Monteverdi's madrigals appear in new forms and arrangements, including a new work by the ensemble's long-time friend, Yiran Zhao.
