Menschen mit Demenz begleiten

In Switzerland, 144,000 people live with dementia. Dealing with this disease is a major challenge for everyone: relatives, caregivers and visitors. Dementia requires a lot of empathy, understanding and tolerance.

The course provides basic knowledge about different forms of dementia and their effects on everyday life. Using case studies from practice, the participants practice dealing with particularly challenging situations. In "Validation", they learn about a method that enables access to people affected by dementia, confused and mostly elderly.
