Description

The cycling tour starts in Chur and takes you to small villages along the Rhine river. In Reichenau, you pass by the con-fluence of the Vorder and the Hinter Rhine. On the plateau with the villages of Bonaduz and Rhäzüns, you enjoy a beau-tiful scenery and you can visit the unique churches Sogn Paul and Sogn Gieri, dating back to the High Middle Ages. Along a nice cycling trail in the forests, you reach the golf course of Domat/Ems. Making a side trip into the historic old town of Chur, you finally get back to the starting point.

The Rhine rises in the Grisons Alps, the Vorderrhein near Lake Toma, Oberalppass in the Surselva and the Hinterrhein near the Rheinwaldhorn in the Hinterrhein/Viamala region. At Reichenau-Tamins, the Vorderrhein and Hinterrhein join to form the Rhine, which then flows past the city of Chur through the Graubünden and St. Gallen Rhine valleys into Lake Constance and on to the North Sea.
