Filmmusik aus Italien

The 6th programme picks up the thread that was already laid in the 5th: compositions from the almost endless pool of excellent Italian film music. While the Italian composers of so-called "serious music" were soon able to establish an international reputation for themselves (just think of the greats such as Berio, Nono or Sciarrino), the composers listed here are completely unknown in the "contemporary music scene", with the possible exception of Henry Mancini. With this program, ö! finally do justice to these outstanding composers and celebrate their fantastic music together with the audience.
The Italian music is complemented by tonal compositions by the Chinese and friend of the ensemble, Yiran Zhao, and David Sontòn Caflisch.
