Event Chur
Filme für die Erde Pop-up Kino
Description
Together with committed co-organisers, Films for the Earth and WWF Switzerland are showing SIX INCHES OF SOIL throughout German-speaking Switzerland and at locations in neighbouring countries. In the film, director Colin Ramsay accompanies three people who are at a turning point in their lives: Anna Jackson, eleventh generation on a farm and sheep farm in Lincolnshire, Adrienne Gordon, who grows a variety of vegetables on a few hectares in Cambridgeshire, and Ben Thomas, who keeps grass-fed cattle in Cornwall and wants to work with natural processes instead of replacing them.
SIX INCHES OF SOIL addresses issues that are also present in Swiss agriculture. It ties in with current developments and practical examples. The film combines personal stories with knowledge about agroecology and shows how agriculture not only produces food, but also shapes the future.
The pop-up cinema is based on collections and is open to all interested parties.
