Dina Casparis, an author with roots in Graubünden, lives in Zurich and prefers to write in Davos. After her ballet training, she worked full-time as a ballet dancer on German stages for several years. She then studied law and spent many years as a lawyer in an international fashion company and as an estate advisor in the financial sector. Today she devotes herself mainly to writing. With the material about chocolate and colonialism, Dina Casparis places an aspect of her own family history at the center of her writing.
