Raphael Nussbaumer, Violin

Born in 2006, Raphael received a gift for his baptism that had a great impact on him: a violin. And from then on, the instrument never let go of the Aargauer. He received his first violin lessons at the age of four, and two years later he was admitted to the Zurich Conservatory. Since 2024 he has been studying at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. He has received several prizes at international competitions such as in 2022, as the youngest finalist, the 4th prize at the Fritz Kreisler Violin Competition in Vienna.

He has played with renowned artists such as Christian Tetzlaff, Gabriel Venzago, Oliver Schnyder and Benjamin Engeli. His concert activities have already taken him to play with several orchestras, such as the Basel Symphony Orchestra, the Zurich Chamber Orchestra and the Bern Symphony Orchestra. In 2024, he gave a concert at the Tonhalle Zurich together with Kateryna Tereshchenko in the Série jeunes series.


Kateryna Tereshchenko, piano

Born in Ukraine in 1988, she studied at the Lysenko Music School in Kiev and from 2007 to 2011 with Konstantin Scherbakov at the Zurich University of the Arts. In 2011 and 2012 she was awarded the study prize of the Migros Culture Percentage Competition. From 2013 to 2016 she was a member of the Orchestra Academy at the Zurich Opera House. Numerous concerts as a soloist ( piano recitals and concerts with orchestra ), as a chamber musician in various formations and as a song accompanist, have taken Kateryna Tereshchenko to Ukraine, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria and Switzerland.
