Festival for Contemporary Music

For 20 years, CLOSE ENCOUNTERS has been bringing together musicians from Switzerland and Georgia and creating a space for current, experimental music in transcultural dialogue. The last editions in Tbilisi took place against the backdrop of ongoing political tensions. In this way, the festival underlines its social relevance.

On the occasion of the anniversary "20 years of Postremise", young and established artists present a changeable programme that reflects the creative energy as well as the uncertainty of the Georgian scene – and at the same time sets an artistic sign of hope.
