The Olten jazz singer Elian Zeitel writes and sings her own songs - in English and in Swiss dialect. In October 2025, her second album "Yes, of course it hurts" was released on the Dutch label SONNA Records. Picturesque poetry, influences from jazz, folk music and pop form the song structures in which the lyrical and crystal-clear voice of the singer unfolds: touching and catchy. Contrasting and surprising is the interplay with her band, which with Hans Feigenwinter, Mischa Frey and Sascha Frischknecht represents a combo that is deeply rooted in jazz and the world of improvisation.

The band's music-making is characterized by lively joy of playing and melancholic depth. They move light-footedly back and forth between songs and improvisation and exhaust the multi-layered possibilities of sound and rhythm. With her current program, Zeitel spans an arc between the world of songwriting and her love of improvisation. A listening experience that is as touching as it is joyful.
