Johannes Brahms' Third Symphony is a fascinating mixture of drama and lyricism. The first movement captivates with its energetic intensity, while the melancholic Poco Allegretto with its yearning melody is one of the most famous symphony movements. With great orchestral density and emotional depth, Brahms creates a powerful panorama that fades out in a gentle, almost enraptured finale.
