Dreisprachige Lesung: «Alla fine dei nostri giorni» von Ugo Petrini

It is fascinating when literature reaches its hand beyond its language boundaries. With the new edition of the poetry by the Ticino poet Ugo Petrini, which is published in the cantonal languages of Graubünden and builds a bridge to the neighbouring canton of Ticino, the author, the translators and the publisher want to give voice to their credo – the strengthening of linguistic ties within the Latin languages in Switzerland.

Ugo Petrini offers his readers – and thus also his translators – a (seemingly) easily accessible read: we do not read hermetic poems, but a language that is familiar to us. As we read, we look into an open mind full of warmth and warmth. In reading, we are in conversation with the self of these poems and feel their harmony. Ugo Petrini's translator into German, Christoph Ferber, has made a selection from his work over the past 15 years. The Romance translator Dumenic Andry translated this selection from the original into Romansh (Vallader). The recordings of the poems can be accessed in all three languages via QR code in the book. The Ticino poet Fabio Pusterla wrote an afterword for his poet friend Ugo Petrini.

The poet Ugo Petrini will be in conversation with one of his translators, Dumenic Andry. Publisher Mevina Puorger moderates the discussion in the languages of the guests. The reading will take place in three languages – Italian, Romansh and German.
