Fragmente. Vom Suchen, Finden und Zeigen des Unvollständigen

Splinters, snippets, snaps and shots – we encounter fragments in many shapes and contexts in everyday life. Since its beginnings, art has been concerned with fragments. With a view to one's own collection, the exhibition makes it possible to encounter different artistic strategies that deal with fragments, produce and rearrange them or deliberately produce empty spaces.
Found fragments such as natural elements or ruins meet made fragments here: smashed panes, deconstructed church windows and body parts. And sometimes the fragment is representative of a larger context or consists of gaps that can only be completed through observation.
