As a saxophonist, Silke Strahl moves at the interface between contemporary music, free improvisation and performance art. Her improvisations are in constant metamorphosis, always in search of new sounds, complex structures and interwoven layers. The resulting music can be shimmering and fragile, powerful and destructive, weird and squeaky or melodic and earthy – in any case, it invites the listener into abstract sonic spheres.

In contrast to Silke's acoustic playing, Marc Lardon explores the possibilities of his instrument using analogue-electronic devices. For him, electronics are an integral part of his instrument, an extension that must be played and mastered just as much as the bass clarinet – both simultaneously and in dialogue, whether as an opponent or fellow player. From noisy surfaces to melodic-repetitive patterns, he oscillates between vulnerable poetry and brute aggression – a tightrope walk.
