Taizé - Nacht der Lichter

Building bridges between cultures and deepening respect for people of other faiths is the goal of the Week of Religions, which takes place throughout Switzerland in the first week of November. In Graubünden, the activities are organised by an interdenominational team in cooperation with the Graubünden Forum of Religions.

At the request of the younger members of the Graubünden Forum of Religions, the Week of Religions will take place this year under the motto "Young - Religiously Committed". As a prelude to the dialogue week, there will be a joint visit to the Taizé service, the Night of Lights, in St. Martin's Church in Chur.

The Night of Lights aims to cultivate interreligious fellowship in our canton. It is open to everyone and understands itself across generations.
It is also aimed at young confirmands and confirmands who are accompanied to the celebration by their teachers and pastors, as well as young adults who want to keep in touch with the church after confirmation or confirmation, and people of all ages who are looking for this quiet form of celebration. Singing together with people of different ages has given the Night of Lights in Chur a special character for many years.

The Night of Lights is meditatively shaped by songs from Taizé with musical accompaniment, prayer and silence.
