Actually, all of life is made up of turning points. Sometimes it's big, sometimes just small twists and turns that give life a new direction. The CHURSÜD women's choir took just such a new direction at the beginning of the year with the announcement of its new conductor Christian Klucker. In keeping with this new interpretation, both artistically and vocally, the title of the first joint project under the new direction is "Turning Points".

The "Turning Points" project stands for getting to know each other, getting closer, finding each other. With the two concerts on June 12 and 13 – inspired by another turning point, namely that of the time just before the summer solstice of June 21 – the singers of the CHURSÜD women's choir embark on a global journey through the world of choral literature, so to speak. African as well as Nordic, American and of course local songs will be performed. A selection of works that impressively demonstrates the openness, curiosity and versatility of the Chur women's ensemble.

The 20 or so singers of the CHURSÜD women's choir will be supported by the Swiss soprano Martina Ganchuk in "Wendepunkte". Ganchuk worked, among other things, as a singing teacher at the Winterthur Conservatory until 2011, before starting her career as a classical singer and soloist. A career that has already led her to engagements at numerous renowned opera houses and festivals in Germany and abroad.
