Usama Al Shahmani: «Ein Seidenfaden zu den Träumen»

In poetry, all languages are allowed to have their say, because it is the moment that lies in between: between letters, words and languages. This in-between is a space that can only be filled by a poem.
Usama Al Shahmani has selected his favourite poems for this book from all the poetry volumes of Limmat Verlag. The texts are reproduced in the original language and in the German translation. In this way, the collection becomes a reflection of the linguistic diversity of Swiss poetry.
The poems show the editor how to deal with words – with those that are already there and those that have yet to be found. "A Silk Thread to Dreams" impressively demonstrates the creative power of language.
