Description

The starting phase along the Obersee is comparatively leisurely. But then it starts right away. The Eichhörnliweg and the Prätschli with bus stop and hotel are the first highlights on the challenging route. Now it's downhill for a moment – the first and only time. From the Maran junction there is hardly a breather. The sections in the Arlenwald and Scheidegg areas offer a welcome change. The last, extremely steep kilometre from the Sattelhütte up to the Weisshorn is really tough. On the summit, which is well known to winter sports enthusiasts as well as hiking and biking enthusiasts, newcomers at 2,649 metres above sea level can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view and thus a lucrative reward for the exertions.
