Geo-tour around the Gürgaletsch

At 10:10 a.m. we take the nostalgic post bus from Postbus Tschiertschen to Alp Farur.
From there we hike to Kaltbrünnen to an interesting geological phenomenon.
We continue to the Teehüttli, where we eat and marvel at interesting rock formations and plants.
A short ascent to the Malakoff gives us a magnificent panoramic view of many well-known peaks,
but also on the Glarus main thrust at the Ringelspitz. We continue over the Chlin Gürgaletsch to
a well-known (as well as rare) pointer plant and from there on to the restaurant Hüenerchöpf, where it is located after
After a refreshment with the scooter bike down to Tschiertschen. In case of rain: on foot or by nostalgic post bus at 16:25h.

- moderate hike; SAC Hiking Scale T2
- walking time approx. 3 hours, duration of the guided tour approx. 41/2 hours, ascent 500 m, descent 450 m; distance 6 1/2 km
- highest point: Stelli 2,400 m a.s.l.
- Meeting point: 9:55 a.m. Postbus square Tschiertschen (nostalgic post bus departure 10:10 a.m.)
- Farewell: Parish Hall approx. 17:00h

- Mountain hiking equipment: sturdy footwear with tread soles, rain protection, sun protection
- Camera, ev. Binoculars
- Snack from the backpack, drink
