Rot Platta - Chur from above

Where otherwise almost only die-hard Chur hikers and trail runners are on the road, we climb steeply up to the wooded rock head Roti Platta above Chur. The Graubünden slate is highly exposed to erosion. Thanks to the protective forest, Chur has been spared from mudslides and landslides time and again.
The view of the oldest continuously inhabited city in Switzerland compensates for the effort of the ascent. On the way back, we climb the Chur picnic hill Mittenberg, with clear visibility with a view of the Bernese Alps. Also before and after the St. Luzi Chapel we are inspired by wonderful views.
